Did you ever wonder how companies gather data for target marketing? No – neither have I!! I did learn recently that a lot of this information comes from internet surveys. People are polled and the responses help guide the company’s marketing and R&D. So what does this have to do with my money?? I thought you’d ask that…

You can begin taking these surveys and make money for answering a series of questions. I thought this was a real scam but after some research, I found that there are some good survey companies out there that will pay you to take the time to answer the questions.

The Basics - All you really have to do is set up your account which can take about ten minutes and your set to go. There are 2 predominant formats: The first is a targeted survey based on your set up info. The survey company sends you surveys via a link in an e-mail and you proceed to answer the survey. The second is driven by the user. You can sort through the database of surveys and choose the ones you want to answer.

The Catch – Before you begin to answer hundreds of questions there is one thing you should know about these surveys. In order to get paid the full amount listed for the survey (different surveys are worth different amounts of money), you must complete the survey. As you answer questions, the survey continues to qualify you. If you answer a question that puts you outside the target audience of the survey, the questions ends and you get paid on your progress if at all. I went through about eight or nine surveys before I even qualified to continue to the more detailed questions (which were all multiple choice) and even then I only got about $0.35 for my efforts.

In the end, this is a great way to earn a little extra cash with little effort. I cannot tell you how many surveys I can get through while sitting on the couch with my laptop while watching TV.
