I’ve been Phished!

So less that 24 hours after my note about Phishing scams is posted, I receive an E-mail from PayPal Abuse Department asking me to update my personal information. Timing could not have been more perfect.

Here is what the body of the message looked like…

Gone Phishing!

As a real victim of Identity Theft, I can tell you that it is one of the worst experiences you can possibly go through in your life. You have no control over where your personal information is going, where it has been, or how it is being used. The scary thing is that you only find out AFTER a crime has been committed.

Clean Up Your Credit

Every time you apply for credit, you are inviting creditors to review you based on your credit report (create link to credit report post). Assuming you are serious about your financial position, you have already received your free credit report from Annual Credit Report.

Continuing to build your financial empire includes cleaning up your credit report. Even the little things can and will effect your credit score so why not make sure everything is accurate. Once you’ve reviewed your report, if you find something suspect, dispute it!!
